All Fall Down By Ally Carter

Ok. So I am obsessed with Ally Carter, just wanted to let you all know. I devoured her Heist Society books and completely fell in love with her Gallagher Girls Series. I mean, a school for spies! How cool is that! When I found out that she was coming up with a new series I was so excited and a little mad because she has to take time off from Heist Society in order to have the series take off. Which is a bummer because I need to find out Hale's real name and I love Kat and Hale. I am desperate for the next book.... anyways... I thought the concept of All Fall Down was great. I mean, Grace is trying to find out who killed her mother even though no one believes her and thinks that she is crazy all while living in a U.S embassy in Adria, which is a fictional country (I checked) haha. Not to mention a Russian guy named Alexi who is Grace's protecter. Can you say potential romance? Well, thats what I thought. I thought Grace would be a little bit stronger like Kat and Cammie in her other books but I was wrong. Grace can be annoying, to put it lightly. She is immature, reckless and possibly suicidal. I didn't even feel for Grace at all. She was a spoiled brat who I wanted to clop on the head to make her shut up! Honestly, the entire book is a nutshell is this: "Someone killed my mom, I can prove it!" "No, Grace! Your mom died in a fire, you're delusional!" "The scared man did it, I'll find him by doing reckless things that can kill me and possibly others all the while possibly starting a war!" Okay. So in Adria there is an empty embassy that used to belong to Iran. Everyone says not to go in because it can start a war. Really? Can going into an EMBASSY cause a war? I mean its just a building, how can that start a war? Also, there was this part where Grace was traveling ALONE in tunnels that run under the city of Adria, following the scared man, she tried to get a way and ended up in the German Embassy. She was then asked, again, If she was trying to start a war. So a sixteen year old American girl can start a war with the Germans by just showing up unannounced in their embassy? Yeah... I don't think thats how wars start, Ally Carter. The supporting characters weren't even that interesting either. Her "Best friend" Noah was pining for the beautiful Megan who happens to be Grace's old friend who she thought was only her friend because their was no other kids for them to play with. I mean really? If their was no one else to be around but you and she choose to hang out with you instead of watch tv it means that she was your friend. Honestly, there were some parts that I liked but the rest really sucked. It was not Ally Carter's best. Not at all. In the future, I hope that Grace doesn't act as whiny and pathetic as she does. I think that I liked the 12 year old German girl named Rosie better than Grace. She didn't whine as much and had more backbone. Grace can take a few tips from her in that department. I give this book 2 running shoes out of five.

Wrong. Sterling was ignored by Ethan who was just a straight up pig. I honestly don't get why she stayed with him. The entire time I was yelling at her in my head to step away and run. The first clue to run should have been when they were out to dinner one night and he ordered a mushroom burger because his trainer wanted him to "stay fit". I would have fled right there. Throughout the entire book it shows how Ethan changed, I guess? But I think that he was always that way and him becoming famous was just the tipping point to show his true colors. He completely ignores Sterling and disregards her dreams of becoming a chef and making videos for cooking on youtube when she was completely supportive of his dreams since forever. When she tells Ethan that she is thinking of making a video diary he thinks it is for him and then when she explains he calls it stupid. Honestly, why didn't she run there? That is what got me pissed at this book. Here she is, a girl who is living an amazing life. She has a rockstar boyfriend and gets all of the designer clothes but she is not happy. All the girls pretend like they know her boyfriend better than she does and ignore her existence. And so does Ethan! He completely and totally ignores Sterling. I get that he is famous and you get awesome clothes but I would have left immediately. And I guess it is no surprise that Sterling starts to talk a lot to Damian who works on the concert sets. But I really didn't like him either. Yeah, he was there for her and all, more than Ethan was, but still... He's about twenty and works as a groupie basically for different bands... I was glad When she didn't agree for Damian to come with her to college. I mean, that was way too fast! He was all, There's a concert center where you are, I could work there and finally settle down in one place instead of moving all over the place... You can finally be my anchor, Sterling. Ok. Well maybe it didn't entirely go like that. But it was close. And I can't believe that out of all the crap that Ethan did to Sterling that it took him sleeping with another girl to break up. I mean, where is her self respect! I would have left him sooner. And thank god she didn't take him back at the end. I would have died if she did. Oh, and her friend was such a b@#$%! I get that they were friends and all but if my friend ditched me for people who were mean to her just because they "Showed her attention" I would have been all like ok. Buh-by now. Her friend was jealous of Sterling I guess but I would have thought her friends to be more supportive... And I guess she was mad at Sterling ditching her for Ethan but when she asked for those autographs for the people who were so mean to her and Sterling I would have stopped being her friend. Sterling had little back bone and she only found it when it was about to break. And her friend also had a weird plant obsession and so did Sterling a little bit. I mean , there was a plant funeral in the book which was just plain bizarre. Ok. Well sorry for this little rant. I give this book 2 1/2 running shoes out of five.

I finished it in under a day. Anne was smart and funny and sassy... I just loved her. The mystery in this book was really great and kept me guessing until the very last page. The romance was sweet and cute but not cheesy... I also liked how it didn't revolve around romance but the murder, and how it was just something that was there but not barely there. Anne is my new favorite heroine and I can't wait till I get my hands on the next book...which is already out... And the third book which should be out in August! I liked how Anne could come up with snappy comments on short notice, but a thing I didn't like was now she barely connected with anyone.... That is not of the male gender. She kept blowing Remy off which made me sad because she seems like a nice friend for Anne. If you like fast paced adventure where you are guessing till the last page, this book is for you! And if you like guys who ride motorcycles and who are named Anthony read this book! Can you already tell that I want Anne and Anthony together? No? Well I do. Fans of gossip girl and Veronica Mars will love this trilogy! Four and 3/4 out of 5 running shoes

Yes. I finished this book so fast because it was that good. But first let me get to the review. Ok. I will not lie to you guys when I say that this book was a hell of a lot confusing in the beginning. It starts of with the heroine, Molly, coming to in her car and driving. Only she has no idea when she got there. And this is not the first time this has happened to her. Recently Molly has been missing blocks of time and she has no idea what the hell happened. Then Molly is driving home and she sees a boy on a motorcycle driving too fast. She knows what is going to happen before it does--she knows that he is going to crash. But then she realizes something--the boy was trying to catch up to her--but why? Then the inevitable happens and the boy hits the back of a car and goes flying over her car right in front of her car and she almost hits him. She gets out and cradles his head and takes off his helmet. The boy seems to know her though, this boy calls her by a strange name--Mabel. She thinks it's a case of mistaken identity until the boy calls her Molly. And so begins the awesomely strange book that is the Half Life of Molly Pierce. I also have to admit something else though. The names in this book were kind of stupid. If they were normal names I think I would have liked this book a lot more which sounds weird but that is just me. For example, Molly's best friend is named Erie. Like the canal. Why not name her Erica? And her other best friend is Luka. With a k. Why not just Luca? And don't get me started on the strange boys that Molly is beginning to remember names. The boy on the motorcycle is named -- get ready -- Lyle and his brother is named Sayer. Sorry for being weird but that is just me. And let's get on with this review. Ok. So after seeing Lyle get killed on the motorcycle she starts to feel a weird connection with his brother. Like they have attraction with each other, or history. But how can that be with someone you just met? But then Molly starts to remember everything. She remembers Sayer and Lyle. She loved them both, one as a friend and one as a lover. It turns out that Molly's blackouts were from her alter ego Mabel who led a different life that Molly wasn't aware of until the memories start to pour out. I feel as if I am giving way too much away so you guys will have to read it for yourself when it comes out July eighth. It sounds weird but it is so good and amazing. I was hooked from the first page and I promise that you guys will be too! I give this book 4 1/2 running shoes -- I took a half off because of the names ^ - ^

You Look Different in Real Life by Jennifer Castle

The premise was simple: five kids, just living their lives. There’d be a new movie about them every five years, starting in kindergarten. In fact, when she hears the crew has gotten the green light to film "Five at Sixteen," all she feels is dread. The kids who shared the same table in kindergarten have become teenagers who hardly know one another. And Justine, who was so funny and edgy in the first two movies, just feels like a disappointment. But these teens have a bond that goes deeper than what’s on film. They’ve all shared the painful details of their lives with countless viewers. They all know how it feels to have fans as well as friends. So when this latest movie gives them the chance to reunite, Justine and her costars are going to take it. Because sometimes, the only way to see yourself is through someone else’s eyes. ><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><<><<<<<><<><<>>><<>>><< 5/5 running shoes I seriously loved this book from start to finish. The characters develop right in front of you, so that was fun to see. This is told in the perspective of Justine, one of the five that have been chosen all the way back when they were six to do a documentary every 5 years until they were 21. In the beginning, Justine was doubting herself. She didn't think they were going to do another movie and when she does, she is caught off guard. She thinks that she could have lost more weight, or did this or yadda and she thinks that everyone will be disappointed in how she is now. After reading a web site about the documentaries and she sees the comments they made about her, she is worried that she won't be able to be what they want. In the website, they say that she probably joined a band, did this and she feels as if she isn't as funny now as she way back when she was eleven and six. The book is mainly about Justine finding her purpose and Kiera finding her mother along with Diego, Nate, and Rory. While at a "retreat" at a cabin set up by film makers Leslie and Lance to get more interesting film material, Kiera, after getting information about her mother, who left when she was eleven, steals Leslie's car, phone, and wallet during the night to find her. Justine, Nate, Diego, and Rory then set off the find her along with Leslie's camera. During the journey to find her, Justine videotapes everything, and she tells their story rather than Leslie and Lance. I liked how broken relationships were repaired , especially Rory and Justine's relationship. I also liked how Jennifer Castle somewhat accurately showed how Rory acted with her autism. All the feelings in the book, although sometimes jagged, felt real, and that made the book even easier to read and funner. Kiera's reunion with her mom was sweet yet sad, but perfect. Really, everything was perfect In this book. Nate and Justine's relationship was really sweet and un cheesy, which I appreciated. It was nice to have a steady dose of realism in a world filled with make believe!

YES. Blue lily lily blue comes out October 28!!!! I can't wait. If you did not read the series yet, do it. Blue and Ganseys romance will kill you because of how heart breaking and sweet it is. I love it. Love it. LOVE IT.

So fine, finding a way off this ship is priority number one, but first Elvie has to figure out how Cole ended up as a commando, work together with her arch-nemesis, and figure out if she even wants to be a mother--assuming they get back to Earth in one piece. *************** My review This was just not some sob story About how a girl got pregnant and was dumped at some weird pregnancy school somewhat in the near future. No. This book was about Elvie, a girl who is funny, knows about mechanics, and actually is smart! Yay for not being an average bimbo like everyone in ya literature now! I laughed so hard I thought I would cry, and if that wasn't enough, add it some aliens, including an Almiri called Bryon, who happens to be no one other than James Bryon Dean! It turns out, the pregnancy school was started by a rival race of aliens who plan to switch the almiri babies into their babies .....drama! But anyway, I loved how Elvie had a clear head when things got messed up as well as her sass even though things got pretty messed up during it, she never faltered. And her "baby daddy" cole never seemed to call even when she got pregnant, and she never let it control her life, or go on about it and cry. She persevered through everything, which shows that she could be a great role model, better then most in literature even though she got preggers. Whoops. Things I liked: Elvie and her sass The amount of times this book made me laugh Ducky, Elvies ah-mazing bestie Britta vs Elvie face offs Cole, even though he was a bimbo sometimes Elvies talks with "goober" Things I didn't like: Practically nothing! I loved it QUOTES: Just do your breathing exercises." He leans over the backseat and grabs my hand. "Come on. That's it. Hoo-hoo-hoo, hee-hee-hee. Hoo-hoo-hoo...' 'Keep that up,' I warn him, wincing around another contraction, 'and I'm going to hit you right in your "hoo-hoo” I give this book 5/5 running shoes! It's such a fun read and I highly recommend it.
